| Wednesday July 6th; The Doctor thought it was unusual that there was not anything culturing in her fluids and decided to involve a Cardiologist her name was Dr. Winchester. it was on July 7th that the Condition was Discovered. Thursday July 7th; Dr Winchester said that Shay's heart was failing and that they needed to get herin to the Catheterization Lab for a Angiogram, and that if they found a critical blockage that they would need to install a Stent, if there was a mild to moderate blockage they would not do anything The main concern was the use of blood thinners so soon after the Laperotomy that there could be bleeding and or infection. The Angiogram was scheduled for 6:00 PM and it was at 7:00 PM that they found the right upper arterie was completely blocked and determined that a Stent procedure was in order, The Stent procedure was very successful. The cardiologist determined that the symtoms of Shay's heart condition were the direct result of her radiation therepy and that they were seeing more and more of this type of illness. |
